Dakota past away yesterday

Dakota was starting to get better but god had other idea's. She died yesterday. I miss her very much and it's hard for me to write to you all. We were changing her feed and giving her extra hay. Dakota gave her best to hang on. I hope in time things were get easier but I will never forget my baby girl. Dakota was gaining wait and then she lose some but started to gain wait again. I think something was wrong with her because Storm is her mother and this is the second baby she lost. Spirt was Storms baby and broke her leg when she was a baby. I don't know why but Storm baby's don't live. In time I like to get a new horse but it's going to take me awhile to save up. I still have to go to barn and help. I's going to be hard but Dakota whould want me to help and be happy. So on this sad day. Thank you for your praying and best whishes.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dakota. Its sad to hear of the loss of a youngster.Do they know what it was that killed her. I don't think that it is anything to do with Storm as to why she has lost both her foals given that one died from a broken leg and now this one because it was ill.It's just rotten luck that it happened.Again I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

I heard on NR about Rainbow Bridge. Its sounds a lovely place. I am sure Dakota is having loads of fun up there. Unlimited grazing and no schooling...Heaven for horses.:)

Dakota was losing weight on her hips and back. This summer a horse on the farm lost more weight then Dakota. JR is the horse ane he is 26 year old. He was in a bad way and lost weight on his hips and back and ribs and a bad leg. This happen in the summer time. Thank god that he got better and he is looks great.
Dakota again lost weight on her hips and back but it never got really bad so I thought she wasn't getting something to do with her feed. Dakota belly was fine and she never lost any weight there. So we put half what I was feeding her and half and half of new food. We feed her every day with good hay. She seem to getting better. Dakota eat very slow. But she always eat like that. We got a guy who knows alot about horses and he thought it might be worms. We deworm her that fall. Dakota grew a little and never grew again. A year olds was taller then her. So I think she wasn't right. She should grew in the fall but never did. Their are two year old that are taller and heather then her. I wish I did something more but you can't think like that. I wish I called the vet but she seem she was getting better. She was walking around and been her self. The day she died the lady at the barn said Dakota was acting funny. But when she went to check on her she past away. I really think she might had heart problem or something be cause she was losing some weight but that shouldn't have killed her. I will never know.

I am hoping to save up for a neww horse. Not to replace her but instead something to look forward to.
Their is a horse that need some loving because my sister husband father doesn't do anything. She need alot of work. My sister said she cane be half mine. Great but it's not right. I do all the work but she would never be mine. So I said I would help train her but I want my own horse. If I am going to do all the work I want it to be mine. Call me crazy but my sister don't understand.
