Some of you may remember me posting previously about returning to riding
Well after careful consideration and a chat with my specialist i have decided to re mount :D

My consultant told me i need to become more active again :D when i said does this mean i can ride.. he looked at me blankly and said ride what  I said a horse his reply had me in stiches, riding is not exercise you just sit there !!! Obviously he has never ridden a horse, not even sure he knows what one is LOL

Anyway I have a slow hack booked for tuesday and i am so excited i can't sleep  I keep trying to remember where all my riding gear is LOL i can't remember where i left my riding gloves

Yes i am so excited and i even confessed to the stables that i have gained weight too, YO reply was don't worry your favourite horse has gained weight too she said you can compare bums LOL

Oh how i have missed that place :D When i called i heard a horse whinny and i almost wet myself in excitement LOL

I will let you all know how it goes on Tuesday :D

Doctors - hmmph! My last one was the opposite, though - he was under the impression that when trotting one slams down on the horse's back with every stride, and told me that would give anyone a bad back!

Let us know how Tuesday goes.:)

when I had my knee repair done they just sort of guessed when I could ride again

The more usual sport for cruciate ligament injuries is footballing - they really didn't know what to do with a rider...

As it was, I probably got back on too soon and slowed up my recovery. But thats hindsight for you

I am a walking zombie, i still can't sleep

The weather looks grim for next week and the cold weather plays havoc with my back, has anyone used those heat pads ? I was just wonder they might be better than a hot water bottle to keep my back from locking up  I was joking about the hot water bottle!! but need to keep my back warm or i may lock up and be stuck on horse back forever......... hey thats not a bad thing LOL

Thanks for all your support too i will be happy to post how it goes :D

I am so tempted to call the stables again to see i get to hear the horses again in the back ground LOL, oh i have it bad don't I :D

OH has offered to come with me to the stables:rolleyes: Not sure if that will increase my nerves or take my mind off it all, he wants to walk the hack with me  I must admit knowing the bridal paths so well, they will be wet and muddy and he doesn't do mud  could be fun watching him avoiding the mud and puddles but i will need to concentrate on riding, i think he will be upset if i said i want to go alone:rolleyes:

Oh yes, my YO and I have both used them. You mean the things with the little heat lozenges in them that you can wrap around your waist and it keeps heat on your lower back, right? I think they're great - my back's stopped bothering me now but I'm still tempted to use them just to keep warm. We Southern girls don't deal with cold very well, y'know.;)

I often go to my riding stables just to walk around and sniff the 'horsey' air. :o
My OH thinks I'm crazy but 'face, bothered?'. :D

Counting the days now :D 3 days !!!!

I have dug out all my riding gear but had to try it all on to make sure it all fitted ;) and i am even more excited than before, I know it has been a while since i even touch my riding gear and although it was all washed, i could smell the smell of horses, :D it took all my rational thinking not to run out the door there and then and go take a drive to the yard, and take it all in, smell and all :D

I have got a heat pad too :D so i am all organised now :D

Is it tuesday yet ?????????

Have you got a body protector, once you have got one on and have warmed up it will keep your back really toasty.

Good luck, hope the weather improves for you.
