Trainer/IR busy all day ???

Question:

Does trainer and RI will always be busy all day, weekdays and weekends ?

My trainer/RI always busy all day and is hard to contact...or this trainer/RI just don't want to talk to me ? ;)

Are they freelance ?
My Instructor is freelance and not only teaches private clients, but schools and backs youngsters as well as NVQ assessing and for her to have a day off is an event in history (she is also a very good friend so I know her well)

However she does have a mobile and whilst it is switched onto silent/vibrate when she is teaching/schooling/assessing it will go over to voicemail and once she has a free couple of minutes she will either phone back or send me a text.

Perhaps you should actually say to her how is best to contact her (you didn't say if you had regular lessons with her) you understand she is very busy but should you need to cancel a lesson then you would like to give her plenty of warning in order that she can re-arrange her schedule and not be inconvienianced too much.

My jumping instructor is very difficult to contact by phone . With teaching, training, showing, and organizing a large facility, she is always busy. I never would have started riding with her, if I'd read too much into her slow replies to phone messages. It can sometimes be difficult to set up lessons, but she gives me her all during them. I've also learned that she e-mail is a much better way to contact her.

My dressage instructor is easier to contact by phone, as she'll carry it with her while she teaches. This is convenient when you are trying to contact her, but less so when you are in a lesson.

Dont know about yours but I am annoying difficult to get hold of but do eventually answer phone messages. Just as a clue instructors life...

8am onwards in and out of office checking things in yard..hit and miss if you get me. Answer last nights messages

1.30 - 2.30 sacrosanct quiet time (unless emergency on yard) Answerphone on

2.30 -5.00 in and out in private lessons take phone calls in betweeen

5.00-9.00 class lessons phone on answer

9.00-10.00 Yard

10.00pm may take calls but usually leave on answer while eating

Weekends Yard and lessons 8am - 6pm then time off!
