Well we handed over the dollars today for Cooper, paid 2 weeks livery and the transport costs to get him delivered to Epsom from W. Sussex. He is insured from 1200hrs today.
Before we went to see him we headed to Frogpool Manor sale and spent £258.00:eek:

Couldn't get him to pose well in the last one - OH was trying to get his head out of the haylage - we are learning he is a bit of a pig:cool:
Bit of a blue thing going on I hear you whisper ;)
Well, we thought purple, burgundy would go with his colouring and bought him a burgundy head collar.
However, I couldn't quite bring myself to buy the dark colour rugs because the are sooo....... dark
I like bright colours myself and the blue is cute so hey, we got blue. Everyone told us they would be brown soon anyway.
Headed to his current yard to make sure they fitted him - had to buy 6'9" as he has to grow a bit yet - some fit well, some are a little big.
This is me trying to get him to look at the camera....

Won't see him now until arrival day on the 12th March :o
Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Rips, where have you been?
I've been torturing fellow NR peeps about him for weeks :p ;) ;)
Here are a few of the threads to keep you up to date.
Not all are in the right order but there are plenty of clips of him.

Ooh, very nice! Where have I been??! You say he's green but in the jumping clip the rider wasn't exactly confident in her approach and he took it in his stride and seems very honest. Looks promising :)

Check out the website to see the trip we are doing.
Had this booked with huge deposit paid since September as OH often has a work crisis which interferes with our holidays.
We had no intention of having a horse until this summer so it seemed a good idea at the time:D
It's all a bit bad timing regarding money as you might imagine but hey that is what credit cards are for :p
Homelife and horsey life has been fab recently - work has been s***!
So, it is just fab to have all these distractions to make it all worth while!
We didn't leave the rugs with him - nooooooooo. He is still wearing the ones his old owner uses.
Those posh new ones are for when he comes home!!!!!!!!!!!:D
While we are away he is being lunged one day and ridden the next. So hopefully he should be well under way with his fitness and movement.
You say he's green but in the jumping clip the rider wasn't exactly confident in her approach and he took it in his stride and seems very honest. Looks promising
I know what you mean, Rips. There are so many advanced things he is doing really well at such as the jump, getting the correct canter lead on both reins every time. So I am delighted with that. However he doesn't quite bend yet and his steering needs a bit of work. Not a problem in my opinion But RI was a bit negative about it:( :(
But that will not get us down. We are going to give it our best!!
:D :D
Thanks for all your positive vibes guys:D

Maybe try long-reining him when you have him home, and a bit with cheeks for riding, just until he's got turning down, excercise bending around barrells and poles. The bigger green ones can be a bit wonky to start off with!! I ride one for a neighbour who is going brilliant but really gangly.Once he gets his balance sorted he'll be much better I'd say.
Good Luck :)
