Equistudy

Has anyone used Equistudy to gain qualifications? I was thinking of doing the Assistant Instructor course and wasn't too sure if this was the best way of going about it. Can anyone tell me the best way to get started I would like to change careers and work with horses but I'm 29 maybe I'm too old to Start!

I have never heard of Equistudy, but I imagine that its a text course or is there any practical part.
Books and videos are fine but you need some hands on practical work, take lessons volunteer whatever you can do to learn.
