Now I have become the proud owner of a western saddle (thanks to EponaUK) I have hacked my horse out twice with no problems. No mean feat considering I haven't taken her out for months since she bolted and threw me! I must say that it certainly gives a more secure feeling especially since I have to hack on quite hilly bridleways. Hopefully, I can start western training my horse, I've started with Bob Mayhew's video so that I can do some groundwork!!:D

Hi Gillian,
sorry not to have been in touch lately, just after you left I had what has to be about the worst night of my life, resulting in the loss of my sweet little QH mare. Things are slowly getting better, but it's proving to be very difficult. My old mare is very lonely without her little chum, which means that we are picking up a new friend for her on Tuesday, not sure whether I'm soft or just slightly insane !!
Anyway, I'm very pleased that you are getting on OK with the saddle. The lady whose saddle it was is very pleased that it has gone to another Arabian Horse. Please do keep in touch, if you need any help, just give me a ring.
