In my share No.2 thread Sassy kindly posted an advert for Scarlet out of World of horses for me.
I emailed her.

When I looked at world of horses, I found another ad that didn't say where they were but emailed them anyhow for info on where they were in the uk..

after a busy morning emailing both shares - and finding out their locations.. it turns out they are on the same farm!!

Scarlet is a bit too green for me - but is a lovely owner who was very helpful etc.. if anyones looking for a share that has more riding experience give it a go! ;)
But the other share - although it was an old advert works on the yard, and they have loads of horses they could do with someone to ride!!

Also they'll welcome Erin along too, which would be really nice as she's been coming to help me on the private yard i've been helping on - all the horses are carting horses so I can't ride them.

so.. Erin and I are off to the yard on Sunday to meet the owners and staff and chat about what we can arrange!
The lady even said Erin might get the odd ride thrown in too, as they have small ponies and give lessons too. :D

Although it's 11 miles or so away from me, sounds fantastic! And i'm as excited as ever! hehe

P.S. THANKS Sassy! ;)

Sadly she was very off par, ended up in tears twice as couldn't get the pony going on her own. :( She's going to go on a pony that likes to be lunged next week.

Not sure what to do to help her confidence other than continuing with the lessons and her 'helping' at the yard.

Thanks everyone else! Fingers x'd it works out tomorrow. ;)

Aww poor Erin.:(

I dislike lessons like that.:(

'helping' - aww don't be mean!:p

Hope she enjoys her next lesson..theres a saying - "After every bad lesson come a good one":)
And.....GOOD LUCK FOR TOMORROW!:D

hehe she does help really! ;)

Thanks Vic, I've posted in the General area for some tips on building her confidence back up, and getting her past being soft on the ponies. I know what's needed but it's not her nature to boss an animal to be honest.. now other children.. hehe that's another thing! :p

Well, went along to the 'share'.. waited for over 2 hours to try and talk to the owner, who was doing lessons, but couldn't as lessons were x'ing over etc, so very busy.

I'm going to go down during the week and see owner, and also settle in a bit. There are two horses to ride, one is 17.2 Chunky the other about 15.2 Charlie (who likes to nibble at your clothes). :D

They are mostly rescue horses, but have been well schooled. There is an outside and inside menage and easy hacking nearby. :)

Had a long chat with Vicky about what we both want out of it, and I think it'll be pretty informal - go along and exercise various horses. :D And learn the odd bit as I go! ;)

all in all not a waste.

Err... think so! :o

Without speaking with James I'm not really happy to say a total yes, and I'm not sure if it'll be a 'share' in the traditional sense, as we've not agreed on a horse - yet.. if and when we do I'll need to ride them first to figure out which one will be 'the one' ! ;)

I'm going along on Friday and will try and chat with James, but thinking this'll be more work as in mucking out, grooming AND riding the horses for exercise. :) There is only James & Vicky there during the day and they have a lot of horses to be exercised. Am hoping to get to lunge some horses too.. :) For the experience.. I am going to benefit from this a lot!
