I went to the tack shop today and invested 20 of my hard earned pounds in a tub of Oestress to try on my lovely but ever so slightly grumpy mare. It came to tea time tonight and I put the recommended 2 scoops of the stuff into her happy hoof and put some carrots in too. Presented the offering to madam who extracted the carrots without touching the happy hoof and refused to eat anything else!! I tried adding some mollasses to disguise the taste but that didn't work either. So now I have a very expensive tub of supplement that madam refuses to even try!
Does anyone else have this trouble with Oestress or is my mare just super fussy? I'm not sure what tactic to try next but at £20 a tub if she won't eat it, I think I'll have to take it myself:D

You could try putting a tiny bit into her feed, then increasing that by a tiny amount the next day, then a bit more and so on until you're up to full dosage. I had to do that when I introduced apple cider vinegar to my mare's feed and it worked a treat :)

hey why not get an apple corer, and put it inside the apple? or cut an apple in half, cut out the core, put the stuff in the middle and stick it back together :0) my mate used to do that with her horses medicine and wormer. obviously she had to feed it by hand and make sure he ate it :0)

my mare got huffy when i put her onto oestress. i find she will eat it if i slop in some speedibeet. once you reduce them down to just the 1 scoop a day they are much happier to eat it :)
