I think that's classified as advertising and there is a section on here for ads.
But anyway ... what 'brand' of NH is it? There are various types, some I would go to see, some I wouldn't. Norfolk is too far away for me anyway but I'm sure that others will be interested.

sorry if you feel i have put this under the wrong section. i am new to this web site! dont want to offend anyone.
i dont do NH brands! i have been very lucky to have worked with many NH trainers over the last 15 years and been around training for last 25 years working in the fields of grand prix dressage, showing, jumping and racing. i have developed my own style as i belive that all horses are different and some will repond differently to others. i work on softness and lightness not respect and disrespect, working on a partnership. some people will agree with this some wont. i teach both in uk and usa with great results and would have liked to do more demos etc but only now had the time to do so as been busy teaching. just want to raise awareness of the fact that there is a better way for the horses! :)

If you put it in the classifieds nobody will see it:D It's a shame it's happening so far away or I'd come along and have a look, I find there's always something new to be learned whether the method suits personally or not.To be honest you sound like my sort of thing anyway:D
There are often interesting discussions on here, I hope you're able to stick around and contribute to some of them:)

Just out of curiosity, which trainers do you consider your inspiration? Is there a trainer that you see as an ideal horseman or horsewoman?

Not at all, it's just that they seem to jump on threads that advertise things, that's all. I personally was not offended and don't have a problem with it :)
I'd certainly be interested to hear more about your methods, your inspirations etc. As I said, you're too far away for me to visit but I'd certainly be interested in your take on things :)
I find there's always something new to be learned whether the method suits personally or not
And if I said white, you'd say black! Quit the digs, Yann.

hi there i started life in conventional terms and was lucky to meet and see monty robers work in the eairly 80's when nobody knew him and that opened the door for me for natural horsemanship! i dont belive in one method suits all horses so i have looked in others for inspiration. i have been lucky to have worked with and studied with many trainers ones i like the best was mark rashid, steve halfpenny, craig cammeron, clinton anderson, clay harper, frank bell, julie goodnight, Gwa Ni Pony Boy, leslie desmond, philip nye, and john llyons. they have all been a help so i can build a 'bad of tools' to use in all situations with my work. would love to here of other experiances with trainers and people!

I can definitely recommend going to see Melanie's demo.
She is wonderful, calm lady that helped me with my bolshy cob and now me and my husband see her on a weekly basis for lessons. My cob is now an angel (almost :p ) and the improvement in our horses and our confidence is amazing

Hiya,
seems I got to this post too late I would have liked to have gone to the demo.
Melanie did some demos at my college (The College of West Anglia), when I was there from 2003 to 2005, and was very interested in her methods, and would love to learn more. I have always wanted to learn from someone like Melanie, does anyone know if she takes on pupils, as I think it would be such an oppertunity.

Would anyone be interested in going to an NH demo in Surrey? I have Steve Halfpenny (mentioned by Mel above) booked for a seminar on 3rd and 4th June at Felbridge. He is giving a demo in Lingfield on the 3rd (Saturday evening). Tickets cost £5 and you can get details by emailing silversandclinicsAThotmail.com (replace AT with @). Numbers are limited, so entry by ticket only. This isn't your usual NH demo, it won't be loud music and exteme liberty, but more Steve showing how NH applies to what we do with our horses on a daily basis. He will either work with horses himself, or with students from the seminar with their horses - it depends on what happens during the day and which horses seem most suitable.
You can come along to the seminar as well if you'd like, obviously that costs a bit more. Steve will be working with students on a 1-1 basis over 2 days, and it will show how NH can apply to people from different backgrounds and disciplines, not just "natural horsemanship students". Just contact the same email address.
Hope you don't mind me putting this up, just thought it might interest some of you. I've got other stuff organised around the country and can send info out if you email me :)
