So yes I had my lesson today.....and....
My oh my...did I come out of that lesson feeling good and happy!:D
We worked on diagonals. I already knew about them but I feel more confident with them now. And understand how unbalancing rising on the wrong diagonal can be.....[sort of:o ].
We also worked on leg yield again. And turn on the forehand [Just realised how much we actually went over again!:p ]
I of course....was on the lovely Ben!:) Who was a darling. He is a chestnut gelding[probably] and has lovely feather and is quite a big build. He is sexy.:p
I got him sort of forward going, I suppose.;) I feel I have improved on him since last time on him which is always good.
The only thing I was told to do was:
Be more firm and bossy with him in the leg yield, because he is just a big soft teddy bear
So I came out of the lesson pleased AND...
I asked for Ben again!
My instructer said she is planning on doing the forward seat and riding by standing up next lesson because out calves need strengthning.:) Plus she is planning on doing with us in other lessons....stirrupless and in summer jumping!:D
So yes....good lesson. And I am starting to have more confidence....don't know whether its due to my sort-of better position or time!:p
