Okay, as a potential college next year I may be going to the Queen Ethelburga college. Fantastic! It has amazing equestrian facilites and stabling for over 90 horses.

Yet it only have 20 day grass paddocks. This is a major question mark for me, as I understand the importance of turnout to a horse.

Does anyone have any advice?

not entirely sure what you mean by 20 day grass paddocks. If you mean 20 fields then surely that is plenty for 90 horses. If you mean a field for turning out 20 horses then I would imagine they all get to go out for a certain amount of time each day.

I think it means 20 paddocks. So is that roughly 5 horses per paddock?

I'd want to know how big the paddocks are and how much turnout your horse will get.

echo bay mare - find out the specifics.

for petal, i couldn't take her anywhere she couldn't be out 24/7 - she hates being in overnight and really frets. many horses are perfectly happy in overnight. many will 'cope' without much turnout at all, while some can't cope without at least a full day out.
