Hi I'm a newbie!

My mare is shire xTB and can get very excited and strong. I ride her in a dutch gag for hacking and jumping, but obviously can't use this in dressage. The last test we did she got away from me in an eggbutt snaffle - can anyone suggest something with a little more control that is allowed?

the baucher is dressage legal and should give you more control than a standard eggbutt.

Another I would suggest trying is a Neue Schule Schulung snaffle or a Neue Schule verbindend snaffle. My friend has a TB x Shire/Welsh Sec D that she does affiliated dressage with and he goes well in both of those (and is a complete tank in an ordinary snaffle!)

mine are shire x and clydesdale x both go in a loose ring french link - the above suggested bits would prob help!!!! Do loads of transitions to keep her listening to you!!!
