I understand ET is based on Bowen, but can anyone enlighten me as to the main differences between the two (this Q has been raised on another forum - horsetalk.co.nz)
We are also going to email Jock to ask....
Thanks :)

I think that they're pretty similar. To do Bowen you need to qualify in human Bowen as well as they feel that you need to treat both the horse and rider (which makes sense).
From what I've heard the ET course isn't as in depth as the Bowen course and it's 'easier' to qualify. The Bowen courses tend to have more stringent requirements for entry too, some need you to have BHS Stage 2 or NVQ Level 2 and all that I've looked into require you to have both a human and an equine anatomy and physiology qualification. I don't think that ET has the same requirements.

I have a feeling the whole area of therapy is going to get tied up in the "licence to practice" changes - I read somewhere that it may impact either Bowen or McTimoney ?
(It is these changes which kicked off the change from PNH to Equine Ethology :( )

If you go to http://www.naturalhorsetalk.com/archives.html there is an interview with Jock and Ivana Ruddock that you can listen to about the Equine Touch.
I have a friend who does equine touch and he gets very good results and I have seen it work myself.

I'm having my first Equine Touch session on my poorly horse on Sunday, recommended to me by Flowergirl.
It sounds fascinating and i'll let you know how it goes.:)
