Anyone tried this for horses with anxiety related issues? Just wondering what you thought. :)

probably the most effective calmer around. I use it on Ed and it has certainly relaxed him without taking the sparkle off when ridden. Have tried most of them in the past with various horses but have found this to be most effective.

Not used that supplement but I had feed related behavioural issues and got some Calmag which has given similarly good results, and works out way cheaper. I understand a magnesium supplement will only have any effect if the horse is deficient in it, something which is apparently quite common. It's also meant to be a very good preventative for laminitics.

Thanks everyone. I have just bought that suppliment for new girl Sophie. To see if it will help her relax. Glad you have seen results:)

Yann, I will look into your one. As the Magic calmer was nearly £25.

It's milled (calcined) magnesite which is basically a supplement to prevent staggers in cattle and is available from agricultural feed merchants. I paid £12 for a 25kg sack over the counter, so it does represent something of a saving:D

I know where you can order Calmag and Pure Magnesium (which is more expensive but much more readily absorbed) - PM me and I'll let you have the details....
