Blundstone boots - are the best. Wally and I wear them all time and have done for the last 3 years. They have special shock protection soles, steel toe caps (optional), slip resistant soles and are the business for riding and catching small hairies that have done a runner. Extra heavy duty. Totally trendy and made of black or brown leather. See piccie.
Sealskinz gloves - totally waterproof gloves at long last, that you can do tack up with without having to take off and fiddle with the straps. They are so waterproof, you can put your hand in a bucket of water, if you must. We wear ours 24/7 in the winter and THEY ACTUALLY WORK. We have tried every glove on the market, and these are the business.
I sell both of these in my little shop and if you are interested, please email me (frances@fstaylor.co.uk).

It's great that you sell Blunnies, Frances. When I was at uni in Australia all of us students lived in our Blunnies because they were cheap to buy, really comfy, look beaut, and last for ever.

L. Lass,
They have the boots in a catalog that I have. The leather ones are about $110 - that's around 75 pounds.
My friend has a pair and I was quite jealous. They have a great shape, way better than my Toggis. I can definitely see how you'd wear them to weddings! Er, on horseback, anyway! ;)

I am not known for my sartorial elegance, me in a dress? once in a blue moon...so long as it falls on the second Sunday in the month... when there's an R in the month.
I'm afraind I have worn safety boots to such occasions, and yes you can't take me anywhere! Frances does but on a lead!:D ;)
I do get tarted up for horse events, I can look almost smart,
But my Blunnies with a bit of polish on for posh do's are fine, clean jeans what more could anyone ask?
