Hey,
I have a problem. I can hardly ever get the right diagonal. They have always giving me problems. My jumping and cantering is fine. Its just posting on the wrong diagonal. I know my diagonals its just that i never can get them.

Just look at your outside shoulder- when it is forward, rise, and when it is back, sit. Or, if it's more comfortable for you, you can look at the inside shoulder, but vise versa the sit and rise. Only glance down to make sure you're rising right, and you should be fine!

Most people have a natural diagonal which they rise on, it might help you to figure out, or get a friend to help you, see which is yours. Then, if you know which one you nearly always rise on you just sit a beat, or stay rising accordingly! :D
Some people do find it hard though to tell their own diagonals, but a good way of practicing is seeing if you can tell what diagonal other people are on!
Hope this helped,
Good Luck!
