why not try doing a search on the web for stables in the Richmond area? or go to a local tack shop (look in the phone book or on the web), and ask around.

search engines sure are wonderful things.

Hey! That is where my brother lives! Well, when I visited him for Thanksgiving, I was looking in the phonebook for some tack shops, and also found a number of stables. You should try calling some of them. Let us know how it goes!

You should have no problem finding a good riding instructor in Virginia. I hear it's a very "horsey" state!
