ETA have now posted this in general instead as got no response here, so please, please feel free to comment there! :D (did I say please)

I know this is a VERY delicate subject (and mods if it looses the plot, feel free to shut it), but I'm afraid, I am going to have to mention jackets
This summer I may have the opportunity to so some showing, a gorgeous british spotted stallion!! :D Hopefully some ridden stuff and some inhand (possibly with some other four legged friends too). This is the first time I'll have doen any competing, and I have nothing suitable.
I know I need to buy some new jods (cream??) and some new loong boots (will I be ok with a nice looking pair of rubber ones?). I can manage a white shirt (thats what supermarkets are for-right!!?) but apart from that I don't know what I need. I am absolutely skint (as a student) so can't afford to pay much for anything, and want to know what I'm going to need, and the best way to economise (eg, stuff I can wear for several classes). This stallion has competed and won at some pretty high levels, so I don't want to let his owner down, but I've never seen a BSP shown, and have no idea what to wear.

rubber ones would be fine but if you can go for leather ones ,they give such a better picture.could you borrow some?what about ebay?you could try scaning the local free ads, if youve got a tack auction nearby going and having a look what you can find might be helpful too.
p.s what are his markings?
