I had my first dressage show this weekend. It was my first and my horses first... and our first show together. Desided probably about 2 weeks ago (or slightly less) that I wanted to do a dressage show. We did training level test 1 and 2.
Well I must say I am SOOOOOO please with both him and me! He really hasnt done much showing and so had a few little spooks but over all was wonderful.
We got a 4th out of 11 in our first test with a score of 60.91. He actually broke his canter right as we went for a circle.. and as results got a wonky circle. But got mainly sixes and sevens on there and some really good coments. On out second test we got 6th out of 12 with a score of 58.85. We had 2 spooks because or something going on in one of the stands and a few not so circular circles:o once again sixes and sevens. But once again wonderful coments!
While it was just a schooling show my coach was VERY pleased with the judge they brought in. She told me she was a VERY tough judge but VERY good. An "A" show judge.
Over all I am like I said SOOOO please with him and me as is my coach. And I hope when I take him there next weekend for our hunter show that we can be even half as successful.
