I'm going to be breeding my bay mare, Baylee in June possibly to a Palomino Stud. He is an absolutely gorgeous Pally and I was wondering what are my color chances... any possibilities of buckskin, pally, or grulla?

Pics...

His pic is the second stallion on this page... She sent me better ones on email but it seems that I can't get them saved to my computer!

Baylee has one colt on the ground, he is bay. No clue what his father was but maybe it'll help!?!

Next is Mystery, I'll be breeding her to the Cremello stud (first stud on the website). What are my possibilities with her... she hasn't had a foal!

There's a couple of possibilities with both... Baylee first. We know she has at least one E (black) allele, and one A (agouti). We don't know whether she's homozygous (has two copies of the gene) for either. If she is, then you have a 50% chance of bay, and 50% chance of buckskin. If she's homozygous for bay, but not black, then you have a chance of chestnut or palomino too. If neither she nor the stallion are homozygous for bay then there's also the chance of black or smoky black. No chance of grulla - that's black with dun, and neither of them carry dun. :)

Mystery is definitely going to have a dilute - cremello horses carry two copies of cream (the gene that makes chestnuts palomino when they have one copy of it). She doesn't have the A allele (we know this because she's black - she'd be bay if she did) but the stallion does. If Mystery has a chestnut gene hidden away in there, there is a 50% chance you'll get palomino. If she doesn't, you won't. In that case, there's also a 25% chance of smoky black (if the stallion has only one A gene - if he has two, there's no chance of smoky black), and 25% of buckskin.

Thank you Chev, I finally got the pictures uploaded to my computer. I could only get them saved as GIF files. So here they are... they are the ones the Linda from Vista Farms sent me via email...
