Hiya,
Check above website out for SE Trec - it is great fun.
You could ask Maggie to put an advert in the next newsletter for a transport buddy.

Just read in one of my horsey mags that next month's edition has an article entitled "Introduction to TREC".... I'm eagerly awaiting that too (either Horse & Rider or Your Horse, can't remember which :p )

I am hoping to do my first Le Trec later this month. Could anyne give me an idea of what might be in the obstacles section. It is ony a local RC event so I am hoping it won't be anyhting too scary!

I did a ride last year which incorporated letrec. It was great fun.We had to go up steps, jump a small ditch.a small drop fence, pole bending, backing up between 2 poles and steer through a maze made of poles with sharp turns which we weren't too touch the poles. You may also have to ride under a pole or open a gate.

Thanks. I think there are a few things I will need to practice then!

Hi
I have just done my second TREC & they are really lots of fun. I had never done anything like before & came 2nd in the first one & 7th in the second.
I trained quite a lot for the first & did absolutely b****r all for the second!
My aim was just to have a great day out & to ride somewhere different. You can take it as seriously ( or not ) as you want.
The BHS issue a rule book ( tells you almost everything you need to know about each section ) & a booklet with all the TREC events & dates for the year. The information is also on the BHS website.
Good luck & enjoy
