For M&M showing in a green/brown tweed with a cream/yellow shirt, what colour should my tie be? Or should I be wearing a stock? If so, what colour should that be? :) Sorry, showing virgin here!

im no showing expert but i think you can wear any colour tie for it just dont make it look really bright, maybe dark green or brown to match your jacket, kanuma will know:D

Tweed, I would go for burgundy or red based with a discreet pattern. If it's a really brown tweed gold based might look better.

With my green tweed I wear a red tie with gold stars on it.
It sounds garish but its not honestly:D
Something red or burgandy as Daffy said would proberbly look best.

Shirt and tie for the showring, not stocks.

shirt and tie, what colour is the overcheck on your tweed ( the slightly bolder or different colour lines)?
with my tweed i wear a burghundy tie with green griffons on it.

It doesn't really have an overcheck, its a wool one from Harrods (off eBay  ). I'll post a photo of it so you can see it. Looking at it today, (I had to wear it for my C test) it's more of a grey/green than brown. I wear a black hat silk with it, but it does tone with brown or green as well.

a burghundy one would look good i think. a black silk is incorrect for the showring. Navy blue velvet and occasionaly Dark green velvet and dark brown velvet are correct.

Yes I think burgundy, or perhaps gold, would look better. Burgundy might be a little dark. I'd take it into Marks and Spencer and try it against the different ties (with your shirt) so you know what you're looking for.
Edited to say, you need to wear some gloves too for showing. You'll need brown, and cotton or synthetic is fine if you can't stretch to leather. :)

A brown velvet silk it is then! I've got both, I just wear black velvet for Pony Club.
I haven't got a shirt yet, but I have heard yellow or cream look more professional (?) so that's what I will be buying!
I'll try burgundy and gold then, as they seem to be the favourites here! :)
Thanks for all the help! :D
