Don't know a cure but just to say they're believed to be caused by a virus hence the body eventually gets immune to them and they'll go spontaneously (mine did on my hands!). Probably why the vet said leave them. Humans sizzle them off with various chemicals for aesthetic reasons but don't know if anyone does this for horses.

Your best to just leave them. But if you really don't want to wait, pick one off and feed it to him in his feed (gross I know, eh? That's why I wait) but the body develops an immunity to them if they are injested

Storm Arion - I'm really glad my GP didn't tell _me_ to do that for mine!!!!!!!!!

I have used Thuja oil when Cisco got warts on his neck. They also use it to treat human warts. The warts turn pink first and then gradually get smaller.
