[/URL]I love to look at the pictures of others riding or just showing off their lovely horses but am dissapointed at not seeing any pictures of horses driving. I know this is New Rider and not New Driver but I do both and surely I mustn't be the only one!:(
My horse is DJ and he is four now but these pics are from last year. He loves to drive and has a completly different mind set when doing it and behaves well for my husband! (well most of the time!!)
please add to this any of your photos for us drivers to enjoy.:D

The big pair are indeed Haflinger stallions, father and son. Dear boys that they were.

they are very hansome and ellegant........and didn't they know it, they were a couple of posers!

Sarah its not your brains I want to pick. I want to borrow you and DJ and some other horses. Looking at getting the kids ready for fence houses this year so want them to get a little practice in so they know what they are doing. Thought it was around July but notice last year was August so plenty of time yet.

Ahhh, we have got a caravan, with a HUGE awning, I am going to use the awning as mobile stabling for the Shetlands! Should be interesting!

That picture shows it is possible.

Windsor Park Some of the views in there are amazing
opppppppppppps so that "factory" in the background must be windsor castle then  ...... I think I better go visit opticians ;)

Good idea Wally re the awning ... much cheaper than actual portable stabling ;) .... and just as effective I would think for shelter.

Let us know how you get on !

I liked the haffie boys .. looking very smart all of you .. are you in the pic???

Wally
30th Apr 2006, 03:48 PM
yes , it's me driving.

I have a feeling though Andrew the Pants might find out just how funny it is taking an awning down with the occupants still in it!

30th Apr 2006, 04:15 PM
ah a face to go with the name  .... mind you with my eyesight (mistaking windsor castle for a factory!) I might still pass you in the street ...... though not if driving the haffie boys :)

mmmmmmm could I be there with camera if awning coming down then :p

Shetland hills, Staney Hill to be precise.

The cart and pony belong to the little lass, she was only 8 then, I think.

She drives very nicely, she chose Red herself, I had some red leather left over from a job so made her matching harness, bit of fun for a junior whip.
