Hi there, hoping some one can help on this. My horse now has to have over reach boots on the front feet. Went out and bought XL rubber velcro fastening bell boots, only just reach to do up.
Bought neoprene ones, good but still not in the right position if care not taken when putting them on (she is in livery so gets turned out for me) and edges do not meet.
Petals are too short.
Surely my 15 hand 2 cob has not not got that abnormally huge legs and feet, in fact since her remedial farriery she has hooves half the size they were!!!
Any one out there found "huge" size boots.

Does she have feathers to accommodate?

She did but I have cut them off (vet wanted me to clip but couldn't bear it). They are about and inch long and layered now, but the area that dips in at the back above her hoof is shorter.
Thanks

I have to agree with you, why don't manufacturers make boots that fit cobs?
My boy is 10.5" bone with not too much feather, so to get something to fit you need really large size, but then it is usually too long!
Sorry I'm not helping with your overreach boot problem, but know how annoying it is. About time manufacturers woke up and realised they are missing out on a massive marketing potential!

Thanks for that, yes nicolaj, it is a lost market. I have had a look on frogpools web and the only ones that may do are the Equine wear that do a medium/wide. Shall have to ring them. Also might do some sewing work with the XL bell boots and velcro lengthening.
Can't believe shires, welsh cobs and Clevelands never need boots!!!!!
Perhaps also us chunky horse owners should start a business.
