Anyone is welcome to come to this family orientated show. We want to bring the fun back into competing at local shows.
GAMSTON WOOD SHOW SCHEDULE
Ring 1
Turnout (starting at 10.00 am)
Class 1: 12.2HH & Under and 10 years & under lead and non lead rein
Class 2: 14.22 HH & under
Class 3: Exc 14.2 HH
(Please note, if 12 or more entries Classes 1 & 2 will be split)
In Hand (Starting at 1.00 pm)
Class 4: Best conditioned horse/pony
Class 5: Mountain & Moorland
Class 6: Show Pony
Class 7: Cob
Class 8: Veteran 15+ years
Class 9: Coloured
Class 10: Hairiest Horse/Pony
Class 11: Bonny Pony
Ring 2
Equitation (start approx 10.30 or after class 1 finishes)
Class 12: Lead rein
Class 13: 10 years & under, 12.2HH & under
Class 14: 14.2HH & under (Not to have entered class 12 & 13)
Class 15: Exc 14.2 HH

Clear Round 10.00am – 11.00am
(Entries will be taken at the gate, 1st come 1st served basis, £2.50 per round)
Please note all max heights are first round only
Show Jumping (start at 11.30am)
Class 16: Lead rein
Class 17: Nursery Stakes (12.2HH & under, 10 years & under. Not to enter any other jumping class. Max height 18”)
Class 18: Novice Pony (Max height 2ft – Not to enter Open Pony)
Class 19: Intermediate Pony (Max height 2ft 6)
Class 20: Open Pony (Max height 3ft 3 – Not to enter Novice Pony)
Class 21: Pairs (One half of course will be low, other higher. £7.00 per pair. Only jump half of course each. Straight against the clock)
Class 22: Novice Horse (Max height 2ft 3” – Not to enter Open Horse)
Class 23: Intermediate Horse (Max height 2ft 9”)
Class 24: Open Horse (Max height 3ft 3” – Not to enter Novice Horse)

Gymkhana (To start not before 2.00pm)
Class 25: Lead Rein
Class 26: 10 years & under

Trophies for 1st Place Rosettes to 6th Place
Entry Fee: £5.00 per class
Approved BHS headgear with chin strap fastened at all times must be worn by all mounted riders whilst on our show ground. Competitors must enter the ring correctly attired. Lead rein competitors must be on lead rein at all times on the show ground
All dogs must be on a leash at all time.
Directions: From Retford: Come along London Road, past Retford Saddlery as if going to A1/Newark, take the 1st turning on the left after the Jet Station, follow the road & look out for the show signs. The show will be visible from the road side.
Directions from outside of the area:
Coming from A1 – Markham Moore roundabout take the Retford turning and follow the road, take your 2nd turning signposted Upton & Eaton. Look for signposts for the show & the show will be visible from the road side.
