we have our first show of the season on sunday and still have no tie to match my mums jacket.
i went into 3 tackshops yesterday (only one actually had ties:eek: ) and then into 4 or 5 other shops to look at the mens ties and not one had a green tie!
were off to another tackshop tomorow, but otherwise were going to have to go with a blue tie which will look really odd.
heres her jacket

no! no stocks, no.
it isn't that big a deal what colour your tie is - you can get whatever is least offensive in the charity shop for now, and carry on the hunt for the perfect one.
but definitely not a stock.

Yes, avoid the stock!
As long as your tie isnt too gareish it wont matter what colour it is!
As mentioned above get down the charity shop they have loads! I once found a green patterned Armani tie in the Charity shop for 50p!

If you can't get green get red or gold. Or a plain one. Stick sequins on it or something. :p

LOL - just realised I probably have my old school tie stashed somewhere - green with a skinny white and red strip on the diagonal. But wouldn't wish that on anyone and don't have any way to get it to you by Sunday....
(also could have loaned you a "flying toasters" (dark grren background) tie but also no time left to do so).

I go into every charity shop I come across and dive into the tie racks, I have loads of tiny polka dot ties, some really nice silk ones, one for every occasion.

I went tie shopping in italy. Two gorgeous silk ties (that I've never seen anything like) with a really nice pattern on them, for 10euros. It's an excuse for anybody to go ;)
