Been a busy few weeks, At last the pony has recovered from his castration, after 5 weeks of ups and down and lots of antibiotics. His condition is much inproved and now you cant see his ribs!!

I moved both horses last week to the Shanghai Equestrian Centre, home to the Shanghai SJ team. they have 2 riders selected to represent China in the 2008 olympics........... they must wonder what I am doing in their midst, with my local horses and afraid to trot over a pole!!!:o their horses are imported german warmbloods and OTTB from Hong Kong.

the moving was a nightmare, the van was too big to go through the gate, so they had to be loaded on the road, and 1.5 hours later, with 2 sedatios, Celebrity would not go up the ramp:( Then I thought to back him on, and up he went first time with lots of pushing. felt like I'd been runover by a truck the next day!

they are now very happy in their new home, big stables and deep deep beds, and loads of GOOD hay. there is a farrier and vet on site, so I hope to have less to worry about.

will get some pictures later to show you:D

Fantastic CR. It must be a load off your mind to know you are somewhere with a great set up to support you and the horses.

Well done for persisting with the loading - that must have been a nightmare.

Best of luck in their new home:D

Don't forget to pick up some tips from those olympic riders:D

what am I like :( took me more than an hour to pluck up the courage to ride today, waited till everyone went for lunch, then realized i was too nervous on my own !!! i know they all think celebrity is fab, and are wondering what the hell I am doing with him, what a waste:o

just walked the pony out today, did i mention I fell off him last week, we where both spooked by a moving tree...... I mean really moving, they where transplanting them and carrying them around, 15 foot trees:eek: One appeared round the side of the school, and Shadow span and ran, unfortunately straight into the showjumps so we had a bit of dodging and weaving. we parted company when he decided to listen to me rather too quickly:D

counted up today, 101 horses, 20 riders and 30 stable boys!

Sounds great, you'll have better access to facilities now right? Won't be so hard to get vets and the like eh? Glad to hear pony is doing better. Would love to see more pics, especially of the gorg celebrity! :)

thats right rips, the vet is onsite so no more driving around.

there are a couple of other liveries and they are all very helpful, but most of the instructors dont speak english:( there is a Dutch Sj'er who trains the team, who is very patient and understanding. The team won gold at the Asia Games in Nanjing last october.

I must remember to take my camera tomorrow, today I was too nervous to think about it, the hours just flew by.
