Been a busy few weeks, At last the pony has recovered from his castration, after 5 weeks of ups and down and lots of antibiotics. His condition is much inproved and now you cant see his ribs!!
I moved both horses last week to the Shanghai Equestrian Centre, home to the Shanghai SJ team. they have 2 riders selected to represent China in the 2008 olympics........... they must wonder what I am doing in their midst, with my local horses and afraid to trot over a pole!!!:o their horses are imported german warmbloods and OTTB from Hong Kong.
the moving was a nightmare, the van was too big to go through the gate, so they had to be loaded on the road, and 1.5 hours later, with 2 sedatios, Celebrity would not go up the ramp:( Then I thought to back him on, and up he went first time with lots of pushing. felt like I'd been runover by a truck the next day!
they are now very happy in their new home, big stables and deep deep beds, and loads of GOOD hay. there is a farrier and vet on site, so I hope to have less to worry about.
will get some pictures later to show you:D
