What to Wear??

Hi! Me and my pony are going to enter our first dressage next month :eek: but I dont really know what to wear as we have only done a few jumping shows where anything goes!!

I am 14 with a chestnut pony so what colour jacket, jods, long/short boots, stock/tie??? I know he must be in a snaffle etc. and have most things sorted for him, but not for me!! Please help, Thanks :)

Hiya,I have my first dressage test tommorow and im wearing a White shirt, Tie, Black Showjacket , Black velvet hat, White Jods, And Black jodphur boots:) Hope that helps. Also because your under 16 wear jodphur boots but it depends who the test is run by if you get me. Also a tip to look smarter try and get lik a matching hair band to your tie.:)

oooo yh.. also because your a girl even though i am and i hav a black show jacket and hat, I thinks girls are ment to wear navy:confused: Up to you though really it dosent matter.

Tweed hacking jacket, navy or black show jacket - any are acceptable.
For juniors more usual to wear white shirt and dark tie (or pony club tie)
White, cream, beige or canary coloured jodhs/breeches.
Black, navy, brown, cream,or white gloves.
Hair-net.
Black or navy hat (or jockey skull with appropriate coloured velvet /silk cover)
Short or long boots are acceptable.

Ok thanks, I will just stick to my black jacket, tie, shirt, beige jods! I have short boots with gaiters as I have horrible stick legs! Is that acceptable? It is only local but I dont want to be the one wearing all adults gear!! Thanks :D

Also should I plait my pony? He has a pulled mane from his previous owner and would probably plait quite nicely! Plait tail? I dont usually for jumping as he is half arab so has it up quite a bit of the time and if the plait is tight is restricts him tail swishing!! But should I for dressage?

If I have a black jacket, what colour tie? I dont have a pc one!

What tie do you wear for show jumping? As long as it's smart it shouldn't be a problem, but I'd stick to a darker colour.

Don't stress too much about it, imo if you don't plait the tail I'd leave the mane. As long as you both look neat, tidy and clean you should be okay. I would have thought you want that nice arab tail carriage when riding so why restrict it with a plait?
