Just popped into my head and I wondered "hey, what color is he?"

Jester is a little pony I rode at my very first RS when I was 7/8. I recently saw him with a little girl at a PC rally and knew straight off it was him (I talked to her later - she bought him when the RS closed down) He's in his early 20's now and still the same colour he always was. A dappled, mottled greyish purple-brown, black mane - dark gray tail with white and black hairs.

Most of him is solid browny-grey but his face and flanks are marked - splashes/flecks and spots. He's quite ugly! :o

What colour is he?I can't find anything remotely like him??? He has dark points and 2 white socks...

Theres a horse at my yard similarish sounding colour but he has a mealyish muzzle and dark mane and tail. I'll get a picture next time I go down!

He sounds like he has sabino, to give him the grey tail and the splashes and flecks. Are his socks ragged and uneven too?

Solid browny-grey with black mane and dark points sounds like some sort of brown/dark bay colour. Does he have a dark head too?

Without pics it's a bit difficult to guess exactly what might be going on there; but if he has extensive sabino patterning, that could make a seal brown or dark bay an odd grey-brown colour.

I couldn't tell you whether his socks are ragged or not but his face is mostly grey, Dark ears, dirty looking blaze and pink muzzle! He really is odd looking!
His main colour is sort of the shade of some dark varnish roans - but he hasn't faded or changed colour like they do...

I always thought maybe he was bay going grey so got a shock to see him still the same colour!
