Hi, this is my first time on a forum site, I am looking for a little help. I have just bought a second hand western saddle(I already have a synthetic one). On my existing saddle there is 1 long and 1 short leather each side on the D rings. This new 1 has two long ones on the front D rings and two short ones on the back D rings. There is also a leather strap between the front and back D rings, on one side it is under the stirrup leathers and on the other on top, which is correct. Is there anyone out there who could help me? I probably have not explained that very well, but I don't want to try putting it on wrong. I have only just started using a western saddle, at my age is is more comfortable.

Hi Jean,
this strap is simply to join the two rings, and should lay underneath the fender(stirrup leather) If you need any more help, just yell :D
