When did you know you were ready to Affiliate ??

I'm looking into Affiliating me and Alb's not sure if were ready yet.

When did you feel ready ??

I go with consistent results unaffiliated. If you are getting good scores and keeping them every time out i would be tempted to go affiliated. You will probually go down in the affiliated scores but will get a true result by trying. Dont be dishearted if you go out a few times and get a lower result read your sheets and improve on the comments next time.

If you ride prelim you dont have to be registered to start off and can just go and "have a go" until you are confident then register and go for the area festivals or regionals. Its great fun dont be put off because its aff just go and enjoy it!!!!

I did a couple of affiliated competitions but just did the prelims so didnt need to register as holiday said. I was getting about 64-66% so decided to go for it.

my instructor was hassling me to do it. i didn't think we'd be good enough despite being placed every time out at unaff and winning a fair few classes on scores up to 76% novice and elem. finally entered 4 novices on tickets and got place between 2nd and 7th in all of them - decided i better affiliate!
