Have found a lovely lady to back my youngster. She favours the monty roberts softly softly approach which is what I want. She has been to assess her and we have talked it all through. She will be charging £100 a week including grass livery and at least 4 training sessions per week. She thinks she will need 4-6 weeks depending how it goes. Does that price sound about right? Im in the Bristol area but she isnt. Not found a local person that Im as keen on so I dont mind travelling.

sounds about right. Someone I know was paying £75 a week for a small pony and was told this would take 8 weeks (that was a couple of years ago). If you're really happy with the lady and her methods then I would go ahead and pay it.

Sounds very cheap.

usually it's between £120 and £250 per week and then livery on top and that's for an estimated 6 weeks.

I know a trainer near me who also favours Monty Roberts methods charges £140 a week with grass livery included. If you're happy with her and her yard then thats the most important thing.
