ok im doing as assignment on showjumping and need to know what martingales are allowed in bsja?

really!? surely they restrict the horse from stretching over a fence??

They aren't that bad. It only comes into play if the horse hollows. :) If you put it on a horse that made a shape, you wouldn't even tell it was there. Its only a temporary measure to teach a horse to bascule.

Edit to add. A horse that stretched wouldn't need one in the first place. It only for hollowing horses.
