i recently went to germany and while i was there i was riding an icelandic pony which are the cutest things in th world. i was hoping that i'd be able to find one in australia (perth) but i've had no luck :( if anyone has seen where i can get one here i'd love to know as they are the coolest pony's and can take an adult ridder anyday:)

No word for pony in Icelandic!! :D :D

There are one or two in Oz, but they are not common.

have you Googled Aurtrailan Icelandics?

....but youa re right, they are wonderful little horses, I would have bother adjusting to an ordinary horse now, been spoiled for too many years.

You would probably have to import one from Iceland...

I have a bit of an obsession with Icelandic horses too! I live in Australia aslwell (but in Brisbane) and I looked for AGES to find a breeder and only found one that was in a different state plus they were so expensive! :( That wouldn't include the shipping cost. :(

Icelandics are expensive no matter what country they are in.

they are :( i always wanted an icelandic but couldnt afford to pay eg £3000 for a youngster that's only just started being ridden, let alone way more for an older one that was fully trained and stuff.

but! if iceys weren't so expensive i wouldnt have discovered Exmoors :D now, if i was ever to get a second pony, it would have to be another exmoor :D

I found an icy X connie! not sure i'll get it though :( i've been working on a new girl and i've been given an offer to keep her cos the ppl find her to energetic for their school at least until i've done sum pony club with her, but the icy isn't gonna go too quick cos their not advertising and it'll only go to a good home so i'll see how the mare is going in a year or two and c if i can get enough to buy the icy!
