A new stable opened up in one of the parks in Singapore where I currently am at the moment. So me and Bonkers went to check it out.
The place was really new, just opened 6 weeks ago. And it was actually a 'pony stable' meant for kids! :D Got a bit worried they may not let us ride (we're about 156cm tall thereabouts, ponies only came up to our chests!) but anyway they said we would be fine since we were not that tall, had riding experience and they put us on the bigger ones. Bonkers got to ride this lovely gal Anna, and I got to ride her best friend, cheeky, naughty little Ninja. They are well-schooled though, have done mounted games and such.
I loved their little gaits! Wasn't much place to canter since the arena was all wet and soggy from the rain so we just rode around the little open grassy patches were were allowed on.
Ninja was naughty! I mean he wasn't the evil type--just the downright mischievious. He was testing me at every chance he could, which was not much, so he saved the biggest trick for me...
...we went back into the sandy arena for a little cool-down walk, so we were going slow. Then he just stopped dead ignored me telling him to move, lay down and rolled! :eek: He was having such a fun time being full of himself, got sand all over his beautiful new saddle, prancing around evading 5 people (me included) trying to catch him... :p and all he got in result was a nice shower and a rest in the stable! Seesh! :rolleyes: I could have used a shower myself! :p
