I've been doing some clicker training with share mare, and we have worked our way through the book until the only things left are those that require a halter. Book specifies it needs to be one of those NH type rope halters, and I am too stingy to fork out all that cash for a bit of rope with knots.
So... downloaded instructions from a website (then two other websites when I failed to understand first set of instructions) and with the help of a lot of cursing and some pretty blue rope, I have made my own. Total cost for headcollar and 10ft lead rope: £9.
However, and here's the rub, I am not very good at knots. Does anyone have any experience tying these and if so, can you give me idiot proof instructions for tying a double overhand knot?
The halter looks nice and there's a pic of Shannon modelling it below, but some of the knots are definitely not right. Advice, anyone?
