can anyone give me details of western trekking centres around the herts, beds, bucks area please. :)

I don't think there are any, there are a couple of trainer round that way now who will give lessons, but I am not aware of any trecking centers. Check out http://www.wha-of-gb.co.uk look up the Herts rep. he used to sometimes take lessons on and once he was confident they could handle his horses would take them out for hacks.

It is a bit furthered afield than you said but I would highly recommend David Deptford at www.sovereignquarterhorses.com in Cambridgeshire. I have had a couple of lessons from him on his own horses and it was fantastic. Also it is lessons rather than trekking but finding Western horses in this area is not easy.

Yep David is very good, but it is quite a trip and is lesson not trekking, although if you want a real western experiance it is worth making the trip to him and he is not overly expensive.
