Dummer&Drummer

sorry no pics, camera was in work for down loading pics on to NR from show last weekend
well we went to another show yesterday, NO TEARS, and we went clear in 2.3ft i had just normal pre jump nerves just before the first class, and by jump 2 of my first class i thought how easy and good drummer was being..... oh and except for the 1st jump ALL the rest were fillers, think there was a wall there, but tried not to take any notice this time :-) think the wall was the last jump but wont swear on it, so thats good i ignored it all
so that was it... got a bit too competative and i went for the jump off in 2.3ft, set at 2.6ft and missed a jump  i did the tight turn and never following it through, still i learnt alot from doing it though, dont do something you are not going to follow through and all's i had to do (if i could have thought quick enough) was to pull him round more and dump my outside leg on, hard :) ill know for next time
NOW FOR THE BEST BIT....did 2.9ft class also coming clear :) went on and did the 3ft jump off  and came 5th in class of about 30 :D
it was hot yesterday and so half way through the jumping classes i brought an orange ice lolly and leant down and offered drummer a bite, he did this very elegantly taking only a nibble and i carried on munching away, offering him another bit hoping he would not take the stick....but he took the lolly and left me the stick, all of it
we shared 2 more orange lollies after (think i got a few looks, its not like he's not been wormed) and it became 3/4 for drummer and only 1/4 of the lolly for me  :)
as my RI kindly drove us to the show i tied drummer up to my open boot at the end of the day waiting for RI (friend lent us a patch on her lorry to tie up in the day but had already left) and drummer got a bit cheeky and climbed in my boot sniffing over the back seat having a good look around for mischief (wish i had a camera) sure he could have fitted in my boot, who needs a trailer hey :)
good day, loved it and also met a lovely lady a bit older than me competing, that was great, hopefully we should meet at other shows, that was a real novelty for me as ive only ridden really with children (i should have done the pairs with her as we are both quite fast... next time ill grab her and we'll show the kids ;) but drummer was untack and bathed and little DDJ wanted to spend a bit of time with me there as her friend had gone and DDJ never got chance to do the clear rounds
she wanted the poles on the ground and they were not very accomodating to put the jumps down, felt sorry for her, but also drummer took a disliking to the orange flappy fence around the arena and i wanted him to be easy for her as she will remember it for months and months if it did not go easy for her, she is going to play with the clear round sj ing every other thrusday at our yard, so ill enjoy doing that with her and she is starting private lessons on drummer this week)
