Unused usernames FAO Mike

Just had a trawl through the members list looking for somebody.[Did not find them but never mind] There a seems to be a large no of members who joined years ago, posted once or twice at most and then nothing. Is it worth deleting them, thereby making the list more wieldy and freeing up database space? Just a thought.

Perhaps, although the names on their own don't really take up much of the space. I'll have a look at it.

but it increases the time it takes looking for a member. Or maybe you could refine the members list so that its not just A, B, C etc cos sometimes you have to trawl through 30 odd pages. Or have the ability to search an actual member username?

Ditz, if you look on the Members List page, on the top right of the names box it says 'Search Members'. Put whoevers name you want in that box and it will come up with it. E.G: If you type in 'horse' it will come up with everyone who has 'horse' in their username. :)

They are at the very beggining arent they? Not too sure though!

Yeah the search only finds the user if you get it EXACTLY right ie: case

It also took me along time to choose a user name, as every single one I tried was taken. (Or maybe I'm not very imaginative :o ). But it would've been nice if one of the first 20 odd I tried was available. If old users who either don't exist/lost interest/never post for years and years, had their user names taken off the list and made available again, it would be nice :)
