Just in case anyone old wants to know about Rosie 2 and how she is getting on......dont worry if you dont, it goes on a bit, it would boar me to be honest....
I have had her for 3 weeks now, shes lovely, likes a polo and loves affection.
for the first week she was newly shod and put into a field to play with all the other mares, did she ever get some scrapes and scratches, she resembles a zebra now. she also lost a shoe.
The second week we found Rosie was petrified of anything, i really do mean anything, chairs, wheely bins, bits of rubber matting, flowers, tissues, shadows, puddles, drains, bushes, the sound of running water, gates, fields you name it Rosie had an issue with it. Still we put up with the mini rears and cat jumps sideways, it make you a better rider apparently, and continued with some basic schooling and a few jumps. max crash one morning on the jumps which has put us back a bit , but we will get there.
this week something has happened.........were ok with wheelies, puddles, flowers, gates and fields, hang on, whos been riding Rosie when i havent been looking??????
This morning we managed to go thru a stream, we followed another horse, but it was the first time we had ever been within 10 feet......we saw a drain this morning, we liked it.........its not right, my flighty skittish little chicken is getting braver. we also gallopd like the wind today, like she was born to do it, well actually i suppose she was. she cantered, then whoooooosh, it was like driving a Nissan 350z after driving a Micra for years.
we still have a few jumping issues, but with the help of my personal NR jump coach we are getting better.
Sorry if this is boring but i am overcome with fatherly pride for my horsey today.
Im also sorry to Fits and Rusty as this thread is going to be hard for you to make it rude.....:D
