no he did not event today, but Iz and I were going to try to get him out to a course to see how he went. he is supposed to have been there and done it but if it was anything like his dressage we were a bit sceptical
Well my young rider beat me to it and we went to Twizzle lane. First time round the course was taken easy and only in walk only cantering to the jumps when they came to them. He was tentative at a few jumps but overall did better than I expected.
Second time around he was brill. No worries he did not go straight round he was given a break. Only refused one jump.
Cant wait to get my confidence jumping him so I can go and do it
I really want to take Rhi up and do the smaller course with maybe a few of the bigger jumps that looked ok.
Caught the sun nicely too

I've just started last year to jump Rhi just before I sold her to April on here. We are just starting to jump barells so confidence has a long way to go yet.
I'm just seriously peed that I can jump Rhi, jump my friends two 16.1 and 18hh but when it comes to Peter its a bit different. I have to jump when I'm out as we have a blue bar to cross along the line and he has to jump that along with anything on the floor thats jumpable
I know I could take him round that course on the smaller jumps and some of the larger jumps I'm pretty sure if I'm feeling confident could do it on Rhi. Might have a problem with drops though.
My young rider did really well considering the only time she did a X country Rhi was a pillick and stopped at every jump nearly. Dropped her twice that I can remember if not three times. Only came unstuck at one jump when I thought she was coming off but she ended up off the saddle and sitting on Peters neck. That was at one of the drops that he refused first time and then she kept persisting and he did it.
if your looking for a nice time out I can (as I think kath can) recommend Twizzle

Never thought I'd even hear the words jump and me in the same sentance at one time as many on here know.
Used to hate the thought of a x-country course. Would have prefered to drive any day than ride :D

i wish i wasn't quite so far along the road away from you guys. It's a bit of a bugger when you don't have your own transport cos I'd love to go to a meet up and jump cross country (God who'd have thought I'd say that out loud!?! The me that was around a couple of months ago would have said she'd like to come and watch but maybe not ride).
Of course I do have a lame horse at the moment so I guess that rules me out of anything anyway :(

Its a 4mile course and lovely to even walk around on foot.
The good thing about this course is its a hack away from me and only up the road to where I live :D
