Im soo excited! I am taking my horse to a USDF Team Championship show in 2 weeks and i cant wait. We will be starting in Training Level, tests 1 & 2. Its an entire weekend and the levels go from into to FEI, Prix St. Georges. It should be amazing to watch and compete!
My only concern is mainly about my horse. You see, as far as im concerned, he's never been to an "overnighter". Luckily, my friend is bringing her horse too and we've been doing a lot of riding together so our horses get to know eachother well. So at least he will know another horse. I am just hoping that he will be good and behave himself! He is too old to bop around like an unbroke 2yo.
Also, i am trying to put together a list of things i need to take, and here is what ive come up with (aside from personal amenities):

breeches dressage whip and spurs
boots show coat
shirt boot jack & pulls,
stock tie & pin leg wraps and boots
show/schooling gloves belt
schooling breeches bridle
half chaps saddle
helmet surcingle & side reins
lunge line & whip schooling & show pads
girth & girth covers extra halter
gooming supplies show prep supplies

Am i missing anything? If you guys know of annything that i should bring aside from all this stuff, please let me know. Also, any advice to fight the nerves or calm the horse, whichever has to be done, please feel free to tell me!

Thanks!

Yes food!! Duh. Where did my mind go.... And a first aid kit is good, i have this habbit of buckling fingers in with the girth buckle, not pretty. So yes, i will scrounge one up.

Anything else you guys can think of?

If you have take extra leathers and reins!!! I have been at many shows when they deside that today is just the day to break! I was riding in a hunter class once and my rein(the right one) broke:eek: thank god I only had a line and a dianoal to go and Jenny listens off of leg better then rein, I some how even did my cricle at the end!!!(was very please with myself)

Make sure to take extra feed, and a bucket. And I second the 1st aid kit!!
