WEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! :D

Had a great lesson on Sunday. We were practising walk-to-canter transitions, and I got it! :D Okay, so I was riding the easiest horse on the yard - a lovely responsive TB :p

I still struggle to ask properly for canter - i find it hard to sit correctly AND swing the outside leg back without tipping forward. But it was so much easier in walk! :D Must remember to use less leg though, as we kept shooting off with a leap!

I love those moments, when you can look back and think "crickey, I couldn't have done that 6 months ago!"

Isn't it great when this happens???!:D Wobblydeb, haven't seen you around on the board for a while - have I missed something?:) LOL..... nope, nothing exciting  I was single and "living it up" for a bit. Now I've got a new boyfriend I can devote more time to talking about horses and less on keeping myself looking good to attract the aforementioned boyfriend! :D

Sadly I'm only riding once a week again at the moment :( I changed jobs and no longer have a Friday afternoon free to go for my private lesson....

Still thinking about blowing my savings on a handsome grey gelding at my riding school though :D .....just got to figure out how to find the £250 a month to keep him in full livery

Fab well done! Those moments are great. I haven't tried walk to canter yet but have exactly the same problem as you with trot to canter - sometimes I think it will never get better! So it makes me veyr happy to hear about your success :D
