View Full Version : Sick as a parrot

breeches
7th Jul 2006, 11:57 AM
As some may know, i like to ride nice and early, to avoid flies, traffic, the heat, children and the local Paperatzi (you know who you are) so its a lonely old ride most days, please dont feel sorry for me tho, there are often pidgeons and deer about to take my mind off the lonliness.

Anyway thats nothing to do with anything,,,,,,,,,,i was wondering if any of you ever get horse sick. I mean like travel sick. I am in the motor trade, not a good trade to be in if you cannot be a passenger in a car without feeling you are going to Hurl any moment, luckily i dont sell cars anymore , so test drives are a rare thing.

So the question is, Do you ever feel sick when you ride, i do sometimes, i get a little hot and start to feel one coming on.......thats not right is it?

If you do, how do you prevent it....?

I wait in anticipation of the cheekyness (you also know who you are)

Anyway 'cheekyness' should have an 'i' after the 'k' and since 'collins' is a proper noun it should be a capital 'C'!!!!

that reminds me of an interview I heard with Catherine Tate (the "am I bovvered" lady). She said she'd had lots of letters from people complaining about her sketch about ginger people - her comment was "they've all got too much time on their pale, freckly hands".:D :D :D

I suffer really, really badly from motion sickness.

In fact when I was a sales rep in a previous life I even got sick driving the car - usually it is when you are a passenger.

Anyway, I have never been sick on a horse.

I think there is a possibility that you are either dehydrated or hypoglycaemic (havn't had your breakfast).

I used to get horse sick all the time. Especially when I first owned Captain. Now I just get sick when I am going to local shows or doing something for the first time. The only thing that helps me is I practise more. The more I do a new challenge the less sick I feel. Making sure I dont stop or the sickness will come back. :o
