Could I ride an 11.2hh?

My friend is looking to buy a pony for her children. She weighs a bit more than me and wants to give the pony a proper 'test drive'. I've offered to try out these ponys (maybe a light hack and a small jump) but I weigh nearly nine stones, could I ride a native type 11.2hh pony without squashing the poor thing?

a decent native, not a stick-legged showpony type, yes, you'll be fine if you're not too tall. it's height more than weight really for small natives, they are strong, but a tall rider above them can unbalance them.

Thanks! I'm only 5ft2", so I shouldn't be too tall.

I'm excited now, riding a whizzy pony should be good fun :D
