I've tried it out on one of the gaited horses today.
Hákon did go better in it than he does his Icelandic saddle. His tölt was so much better and he hardly went pacey at all. I could get a better quality slow tölt and when I asked for flying pace it was SO, SO much easier to sit to, the squashy suede seat makes it so much better! I have to get a crupper D on it though as he has a problem with saddles slipping up his neck!
I think I will be adding more of this type of saddle to our tack room.
If it makes Hákon so much better, just think what it will do for my own competition horse! Perhaps I'd better not tell Frances that her horse went better in Heather's saddle and just keep it for myself!:D ;)
