Hi Rustymare, Haven't heard from you in a while, but I've been riding almost 5 times a week, so might've missed several posts.

How's the cantering going? Any progress so far? I remember we were at around the same level a few weeks ago, and since I haven't seen a post yet, wanted to make sure you're still at it. :D

Aww that's nice! I've been a bit coming and going, and will be the next few weeks as we are going to England to visit family and friends, but I'll get on here to catch up whenever I can!
If you're riding 5 times a week you'll be way ahead of me (and I think you were anyway really) - that's great, well done!! What are you working on? I've been short of lessons trying it fit in with being away, and tonight will be my last one for at least 3 weeks :( . So I haven't progressed much, still practising canter on the lunge - I confess I'm still holding on, though learning to relax and go with it and sit a bit deeper. I'm really enjoying it though! Otherwise continuing with my battles of keeping in trot and trying to steer at the same time

Aww I hope you have a fabulous time in England. I've been cantering several different horses, and since I ride during Camp, there are about 10 other kids on ponies and horses too, so there really is no room or time for fear. I just get on with it.

Umm today was the first time I rode a horse named Reny, and coincidentally also the first time I can say I really did steer. I had to go around, between, and all over the place trying to dodge kids! I also jumped at the canter, but it was quite scary and very sloppy, so i don't think it counts.

Keep at it, you'll be cantering with your hands on your head in no time!

It's great that you're doing so well, and with so much opportunity to ride. Steering through kids is no mean achievement either - well done for staying cool enough to do that! Keep updating your progress - and I will too when we are back.
