Not really enough time to write my usual report, but just thought I'd post to let you all know I had two really good lessons today, in the morning I rode Spike for the first time who is a young 14hh bay pony and very very speedy. I thought that 14hh might bee too small for me (5'10") but he cirtainly felt OK to ride (although I might have looked a bit silly!

And then this afternoon I had a lesson on my RS favorite Muddle (http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f192/raingodz/cowley/muddle1.jpg):D

In the second lesson I learned to do some thing new, I lerned to rein back and Muddle could do it really well, he also did some very nice 1/4 and 1/2 turns on the fore hand for me too.

Luckaly we managed to miss the rain and thunder in both lessons.

Things to work on today are yet again leg position and for some reason my feet kept slipping too far thorugh the stirups today, maybe I had them too long.

But I just thought, after last weeks post I would let you all know it was a compleatly differnt story today :D And so feeling much better :)

That's excellent news :) I'm glad you've managed to sort things out.

Leg position will just come with time and muscle strengthening.

Muddle's gorgeous :D

Glad you had fun! ;) Any pics of Spike?

When i went for the long gallop at murthwaite one chap got attached to the velcro and kind of pulled my foot thru. I bent down and unhooked myself while galloping! :o Didnt even know the pony! :o

Muddle is great, he was the first horse I rode at my RS and he is so nice to ride and to work with on the ground, I love grooming him since he really likes it and will groom be back :)

In the second lesson Muddle and I did some work on walk trot transitions which was good, we had to trot a 20m circle and each time we got to X we had to walk for 4 strides and then go back to trot. Muddle was very good at this :)
