This is the latest offering from the vet used by the stable where I earn my horses' bread. It is a very fine powder which leaves the horse looking like a christmas decoration. It was used on one horse who re-injured his coronary band, seemed to dry this up quite well, and on another who came in with a 10 cm L shaped tear on her forehead. It left this (stitched) wound unable to drain and there was a horrible build up of pus, but we got it drained and reverted to Aloe Vera, it cleared up in 2 days.
Anyone else had any experience of this?

Not something I would use, nor have I heard of it! Maybe it's an irish thing???? dunno myself. Will ask around at work. Doesn't sound good though if when applied to wounds it seals them and stops drainage.

lol - no I don't think it's an Irish thing - tho its not like us to have something new before anyone else! I didn't fancy it myself given the possible link with altzhimers in humans, but our chief instructor thinks this vet is the bee's knees so we had to give it a try. I'd be interested if you can find out anything. Thanks.
